MAKE A CLAIM
Need to make a claim? Don’t worry – we’re here to guide you every step of the way. Here’s how to get your claim sorted quickly.
How to make a claim
1. Check your policy documents
Before you start, double-check your Certificate of Insurance and policy documents to make sure your claim is covered by your policy. These would’ve been emailed to you when you first took out your policy.
Keep in mind:
- Claims for exclusions like pre-existing conditions or routine care won’t be covered.
- If your total claim amount is below your policy’s excess, it won’t be paid.
2. Fill out the claim form
Download the correct claims form below and make sure to fill it out completely. The more details we have, the faster we can process your claim.

We’ll need these documents to process your claim:
- A copy of the itemised invoice from your vet.
- Treatment or consultation notes.
- Your pet’s full clinical history (only required if this is your first claim or it’s been more than 12 months since your last claim).
Tip: It’s fine to send a clear scan or a photo taken on your phone. Just make sure the details are easy to read.
4. Send us your claim
Send your completed claim form and supporting documents to petclaims@covermy.co.uk.
Paying your claim
Once we’ve processed your claim, you’ll get an email with the outcome. If approved, we can pay via:
- The bank account you use to pay your policy.
- A nominated bank account listed on your claim form.
- Cheque via the post.
- Directly to your vet (if arranged in advance).
